Rabbit Hollow Creations

Unique wares for the unique you.

Text Box: Eryn, Zachary and Elizabeth
These three are the reason behind what I do. I love having the opportunity to stay home with them and watch them grow. Often they sit with me and work on their own stringing project or just sit and watch, waiting till they are able to learn how to do the more complicated stitches.

“Staff” as of January 2008

Text Box: Ziggy
(a.k.a. “Ziggy the Wonder Mutt”)
We picked up Ziggy about 9 years
ago at a local Humane Society. He was the
last of his litter. We believe he is
lab/greyhound, but we know he is the best.
He’s not a barker and he picks up new commands quickly. He’s so calm that dog shy kids warm up to him.
Text Box: Harley
	Harley was found wondering
 around, starving and severely
matted. A kind soul picked him up
and cared for him before turning
him over to the Scott-Carver
Humane Society. He joined our staff about 4 years ago. It was then that we gave him the new name of Harley due to his loud purr. He was so happy to have a forever home. He can often be found “supervising” on my desk (as seen in photo).
Text Box: Marty and Olivia
These 2 are a bit more reserved then Moira. They were rabbits from a confiscation a few years ago. Marty will always have respitory problems as a result of the lack of proper care. He goes nuts for parsley and bananas. Olivia is the shy one. Her fur is definitely high maintenance. She has a thick undercoat that loves to matt instantly.

Text Box: Moira
This “little” lady is supposed to be
a 3 pound Holland lop. When she
entered foster care, she was 6 pounds.
Her pastimes are chewing what she is not
supposed to and exploring our “Cottontail
Cottage” (a box). She keeps me company
those late nights when the beads won’t let me sleep.
Text Box: Felix and Rufus
These two “Flabby Tabbies” joined us about a year ago after a family friend mentioned she needed help finding a home for her mother’s cats. Felix (white and red) is about 15 years old and very timid. Rufus (orange) is about 9 years old and 9 pounds over weight. Both are adjusting well with their new environment and new surroundings. They both start to purr as soon as they see you and love all the attention you shower on them.

Me and my Hubby

I wouldn’t be able to do what I do

without the support of my wonderful

husband. (That would be him standing

next to me. I am the one in the dress).

Eric works as a Purchasing Agent at

Park Supply in Minneapolis. He is also a

Navy Reservist, Prior Lake volunteer

firefighter, and a great father. I can

also count on him to pick up my bead

orders without complaints.

Last of all, there’s me. I am the

one who actually works here at Rabbit Hollow, though the others do a fine job of leaving pet hair all over. (The kids just leave fingerprints and popsicle wrappers).

I started beading shortly after high school. I made a few barrettes and a couple pairs of earrings. The beads got set aside while I was earning a Minor in Animal Science and a B.S. in Horticulture at UW River Falls, Wisconsin. (Sometimes referred to as “Moo U” for the dairy programs).  All through those years, I wore my favorite beaded barrette everyday and was constantly getting compliments on it. I still was wearing that same barrette when we started raising a family. I was still getting compliments followed with a “Where did you get that?”. I stayed home with the kids, but wanted to help out financially as well, thus I dug the beads out again.

Now not only do I enjoy making unique barrettes, but  enjoy making up ornaments, jewelry, purses, and “artsy” items as well.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my site and hope to hear from you.

Text Box: Mozzalea (a.k.a. Mozzy)
After 20 years of waiting for a horse,
I finally got one late this past summer. She
came in the form of a 6 year old Thorough-
bred that was off the race track 3 years ago.
She was not very good at racing as she did not
like to run under saddle. (Doesn't quite work if you want to earn the winnings.) I loved her sweet temperament the first time I met her. Well, the price was right and I found cheap boarding so I got her, much to the delight of my youngest.
